About the team

Marta is the heart behind Joy Movement Studio. Her classes blend dynamic barre flows with mindful moments and genuine warmth - just enough challenge to surprise yourself, and enough joy to keep coming back. Expect to laugh, to feel it the next day, and to leave more alive than when you walked in. Katie as a SAFS-certified fitness and barre pro, thrives on physical challenges (hiked Switzerland in 22 days!). She loves barre’s mix of mobility, strength, and cardio. You’ll leave her classes empowered, stronger, and maybe even discovering muscles you didn’t know existed! Kim barre instructor and pre- & postnatal specialist with over six years of experience helping women move with confidence. Her true passion lies in supporting you through pregnancy and postpartum recovery—she understands how your body feels, and I can help you navigate it safely. Her goal is to guide you in rebuilding strength and falling in love with movement again, ensuring you leave every class feeling joyful and empowered. Paulina traded banking for barre, finding purpose in movement after years in the business world. Barre’s her anchor—blending strength, creativity, and grace—and she’s passionate about pelvic floor awareness and flexibility for total well-being. Whether you’re new or seasoned, she’ll guide you to inner and outer strength with a functional, empowering twist. Valerie With degrees in osteopathy and craniosacral therapy, Valerie brings a holistic edge to barre. Her 15 years of ballet fuelled a love for movement, and barre reignited that spark with its gentle, injury-free flow. No two classes are the same—she’s a pro at keeping it fresh. Expect strength, stretch, and a full heart.

What should I know for my first visit?

New to barre? You’re in for something special! Arrive a few minutes early so we can greet you warmly and help you settle in. Wear comfy clothes you can move in—leggings and grippy socks work perfectly. Don’t stress about getting every move right—we’re here for progress (and joy of movement), not perfection. Our studio’s cozy and light-filled, a space you’ll feel at home in. Getting here? We’re just 3 minutes from the train station, super easy to reach with S7 and S6, and there’s a park house close by if you’re driving. AND we teach in English.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

No need to bring anything—we’ve got all the barre essentials ready for you. Mats, blocks, light weights, and more are here to use during class.

What if I've booked but can't make it?

If you can’t make it, please cancel your spot—we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to keep it free. After that, you’ll be charged, so please plan ahead when you can.

What else should I know?

At Joy Movement Studio, it’s all about feeling good. We’re a welcoming space and a team who cares about you. Nervous about your first class? Don’t be—we’ll make you feel right at home.
