artifly pole dance studio
Hammerstrasse 121, Basel, CH
"Art exists because life is not enough" - Ferreira Gullar Our studio exists because our stories need a place to go. We need art to make sense of it all. As it were, the art of pole dance fuses artistry, creativity, strength, bodyweight movement, sensuality and many more elements that connect us to ourselves and others. Our studio community is a safe and (inclusive feminist) space for people of all genders, bodies and levels who are curious to try this beautiful form of art, along with other off-the-pole activities such as flexibility, floorwork and more. We adapt our classes to your individual needs, abilities and pace. Above all, we encourage you to dare and fly with your wings spread wide! In a world that goes to great lengths to confine you into boxes, our art invites you to exist as yourself, discover new physical and artistic skills, as well as personas within you that are waiting to come alive! Join us and be part of our loving community. We're waiting for you :-) Read more about our philosophy here: https://www.artiflypole.com/about
You'll probably get hooked and never want to stop ;) But on a serious note, some points we'd like you to know before your first visit: · modern day pole dance, not matter the style, has its origins in stripping and sex work - it's important to acknowledge and honour that · our studio welcomes people of all genders, bodies and levels - our classes are for mixed genders - if this is triggering for you, please contact us so we can offer you a solution where you feel comfortable · our main teaching language is English but thanks to our international team we can also receive you in German, Swiss-German, Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish and Afrikaans. · We have a strict no late-coming policy. At the start of our classes the doors get locked and latecomers can no longer join. This is to prevent injury and gaurantee that the flow of our classes doesn't get interrupted. · Our pole art classes are open-ended. Once you start, you continue on your journey at your own pace. There is no preset time for when you should be progressing to a next level. We work with each person's individual abilities and will invite you to the next level when you are ready and it is safe for you to do so. · We know it's tough sometimes, but try to focus on yourself and not compare your journey to those of other birds ;) You have your own story, your own learning style, your own strengths and weaknesses... Trust us. Be patient and consistent - and you will fly!
Our studio is a safe space for people of all genders, bodies and levels. We invite each student to start their pole journey and enjoy this art from at their own pace - prioritising safety, community, art and self-expression.
